World Water Day

This years’ theme of ‘nature for water’ explores the importance of nature-based solutions to the water challenges we face in the 21st century.

The message of World Water Day is that nature-based solutions such as planting trees to replenish forests, reconnecting rivers to floodplains, and restoring wetlands, is a sustainable and cost-effective way to help rebalance the water cycle, mitigate the effects of climate change and improve human health and livelihoods.

cbec is dedicated to ‘designing with nature’ and applying a process-based approach to river management/ eco-engineering. Ecosystem processes are regarded as the fundamental drivers that inform our river restoration design, from concept to construction.
