Seaton Park Wetland Project wins Herald Society Award!

Aberdeen City Council has scooped a national Herald Society Award for Environmental Initiative of the Year, for a second time! This time for the Seaton Park Wetland Project. cbec is proud to have worked on this project with Aberdeen City Council and all the other key associates.

Continual flooding in Seaton Park was once an amenity and maintenance headache. Now, the Seaton Park Wetland Project, in the heart of Aberdeen city, is a thriving environmental asset for wildlife and the local communities.

The cbec team was involved throughout the project from concept to construction. In partnership with Walking-The-Talk, our team conducted a topographic survey, full ecological and geomorphological assessments and public consultation input. This fed into the production of designs (both conceptual and detailed) of the proposed and final works. Our team was also on site during construction to assist and advise. Photos to follow…
